Isn’t the apparel company better off auctioning off the runner-up “champion” gear and splitting the profits with the communities they ship the T-shirts to? Hell, let some non-profit company monitor or handle the transaction.
The apparel company makes back a little money; the poor people get something more valuable than a T-shirt: Cash.
